Ever since I became a photographer, I knew I wanted my “About” page to be meaningful. I didn’t want the typical clihé information we often see -

“I became a photographer because I love photography.”

“I became a photographer because I have a great eye.”

I’ve always felt that choosing a photographer is a personal experience. Most people feel very anxious in front of the camera and this causes you to feel vulnerable. I also believe that choosing a photographer is all about the “connection.” If you’re going to let me into your life, then I want to give you an “About” page that lets you into mine.

I always talk about how I grew up watching Bob Ross and thought it would be so cool to be a painter. But the truth is, I sucked at painting. When I discovered my first camera, it was then I fell in love with photography. I may not be able to paint magical images, but I can create them through photographs.

Photography has long been an integral part of my life. From a young age, I found great joy examining my old family photos. In fact, every time we had company over to our house, I would break them out and share the stories behind every image. This little show I put on, literally lasted hours. I have no doubt our guests hated me by the time my presentation was over.

I believe we all have something inside of us that ignites our inspiration. For me, it’s photography. Capturing the beauty of the world with a camera and lens is so gratifying. I love conveying emotions and stories through my images. A single photo has the power to transport individuals to memorable moments, evoke emotions, and tell compelling narratives.

When it comes to my photography, I believe that communication and collaboration are paramount. It’s important to me that I understand the vision and desires of my clients which allows me to tailor my approach, and capture the images that truly resonate with them. During each session, I strive to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, making it easy for individuals to express themselves naturally.
